Hello Class!

Since William Shakespeare's birthday is right around the corner, we are going to do a research project as a tribute to the many literary accomplishments of his life. However, this is not going to be an ordinary boring research project - we are going to incorporate some technology! In groups of three or four you will research the life of William Shakespeare (focus on his bio, literary works, and other fun facts). Once your research is complete you and your group will work together to compile it into a WikiSpace. Don't know what a wikispace is? Have no fear! I will be handing out a packet of instructions explain how to create one, as well as laying out the criteria for this project (including the rubric). Here is a quick overview!

Your WikiSpace must have:
1. A minimum of three pages (more are encouraged).
2. A page focusing on his biography (include important events and dates).
3. A page about your favorite work of his (vote on it within your groups).
4. And a page of your choice (fun facts, a video, pictures, etc.).
5. You must incorporate at least three other mediums of technology, examples would include:
a. A youtube video.b. An embedded link to a website.c. Some type of interactive activity or game.

Your group will have two full class periods to complete this task (any additional work must be done on your own time). Next Friday we will be presenting our WikiSpaces to the class. Each presentation must be between 2-4 minutes. You do not have to display everything, just give us an overview! Your wikispaces will be graded according to the attached rubric. Work hard and do not be afraid to get creative! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me! Enjoy! And happy almost birthday to William Shakespeare!!
